About Lumynyx
Lumynyx is an Australian advisory firm, specialising in policy design, implementation and evaluation, data solutions and strategic reform. While our expertise is grounded in Australia’s health and aged care sectors, our methods apply across any organisation facing complex funding, operational and strategic challenges.
We develop finance, cost and operational models and data-driven solutions for government organisations and for service providers in both public and private sectors. Our expertise include service classification and pricing, activity based funding (ABF) optimisation, and funding mechanism design and modelling.
Trent Yeend, PhD
Founder and Managing Director
With a PhD in Mathematics and 20 years of experience in public and private sector advisory, Trent brings deep expertise in data analytics, system financing and strategic reform. His career spans leadership roles in national health policy, AI and data strategy, and academic research.
Trent has led large-scale technical projects from concept to implementation and operation, translating complex objectives and requirements into system-wide solutions with measurable impact.
His prior roles include Head of Data and Artificial Intelligence at Scyne Advisory, and senior data science and advisory roles at the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority and the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. Trent has also held a number of academic roles, including senior research and lecturer positions at Macquarie University and the University of Newcastle.
